A NEW LOOK FOR THE MASTERCHEF SET
Following on from our many previous successful installations for prime time television shows such as Great British Menu, Fred Siriex’s Million Pound Menu & Gordon Ramsay’s Next Level chef, Greens were extremely pleased to be invited to work with the team over at MasterChef to supply both their new on set and back of house kitchens for the new-look series at their recently purpose built studio’s in Birmingham, at this stage only Great British Bake off illudes of completing somewhat of a monopoly over the prime time shows on the television.
Celebrating 26 years since it was first aired in the UK the kitchens will help to showcase the talents of many aspiring & professional chefs, many of which already ply their skills in various Greens Kitchens up and down the country.
MANUFACTURING 13 IDENTICAL KITCHEN SETS
Designing, manufacturing, delivery and fitting of 13 on set kitchens was a little more challenging than one might initially think, each kitchen had to be identical to the millimetre which called for ultra accurate manufacturing processes with very little tolerance, the units had to be practical for use by both amateur and professional chef’s and of course be modern and visually appealing for many years of filming to come, they also had to be aesthetically back lit with subtle, hidden, variable coloured LED lighting strips so as to stand out whilst not interfering with the camera crew.
