THE 3 ACRES

CLIENT: TOM TRUELOVE      RESTAURANT: THE 3 ACRES, HUDDERSFIELD

AMBITION BROUGHT TO FRUITION

For us, the finished kitchen at the 3 Acres crowned a long-held ambition. That ambition started around the time of Greens’ inception and was that when The Acres were to refurbish their (rather large) kitchen, Greens would indeed be the company chosen to do it…

Not just because I’ve eaten there with my closest friends and family since I was young, or because Exec Chef Tom Davies, and I used to work together in kitchens in the 1990’s (For Brett Woodward at Berties Supper Rooms in Elland), but mainly because it’s an institution of the hospitality scene in not only the town we call home but also in the north of England, so I was keen for our company to be associated with the prestige that its name represents.

Working closely with owner Tom Truelove and chef Tom, we designed what is, in my opinion, one of our best kitchens. Aesthetically, it looked great, of course, but more importantly (as both Toms will attest), the team’s general productivity increased during prep times, and they also experienced increased efficiency during service.

AESTHETIC APPEAL AND PRACTICAL UTILITY

The kitchen can handle 100+ wedding guests and up to 250 restaurant covers simultaneously without compromising the high standards that have brought the restaurant its huge success.

This is no easy feat in any kitchen, and we’re extremely proud to have helped the Truelove family realize the most important aspect of the investment made: a kitchen that not only looks great but also performs perfectly when it really matters.

Our work at The 3 Acres is a testament to our commitment to creating exceptional spaces that not only look stunning but also deliver unparalleled performance. We’re honoured to have partnered with the Truelove family on this project and are incredibly proud of the outcome.
